Designed specifically for
pick-and-place applications on molding machines of 350
tons and under, this new three axis servo-driven robot
from Sepro America has lots of high-performance capabilities
and yet is economically priced below other servo robots
in the same size range. Called the “Axess” this
robot brings all the advantages of automation to molding
applications where such high-speed, precision
performance may have seemed uneconomical in the past.

This robot has three CNC
axes with servo motors for simultaneous motion on all
three axes as standard.
Multiple vacuum and
pressure circuits allow degating and selective part
placement. The optional R2 wrist rotates from 0-180
degrees with intermediate stop capability at 90
degrees.
Maximum speeds of 6.5
ft/sec (2 m/sec) are achieved over horizontal stroke
lengths of 59 to 98 inches (1500 to 2500 mm). The
standard vertical stroke is 40 inches (1000 mm) and the
maximum speed is 8.9 ft/sec (2.7 m/sec), while the
standard strip stroke is 13.7 inches (350 mm) and the
maximum speed is 7.9 ft/sec (2.4 m/sec). Payload
capacity is 6.6 lb (3 kg).
The user-friendly control
is icon-driven enabling you to make adjustments quickly
and easily.

Place parts directly onto a conveyor with the 90o
wrist rotation flop as standard. The optional R2
rotation with 90o and 180o capability is also

PROGRAMS
The Axess robot uses an Embedded Program Source
(EPS) system to allow robot cycles to be created
from previously written source programs stored in
memory. These source programs are freely
programmable templates developed by Sepro America or the
customer prior to setup. The Axess control also
supports direct programming. Up to 99 different
applications can be memorized and stored for instant
recall.
